Everyone knows the hassle of clearing off a work space and dragging out a heavy sewing machine just to do a 5-minute repair job. Whether it is fixing a seam, quickly taking up the hem of a curtain, or sew a pocket, it takes far longer to get set up than actually to sew. As a solution, we introduce you this amazing tool. Once you know how to thread the machine and operate it, a quick sewing repair should take no time at all.

USING THE portable machine

The first step in using the PORTABLE MACHINE is to load the four AA batteries. The batteries go in the compartment on the bottom. After loading the batteries, the sewer should set up the bobbin and thread the machine.

To position the thread correctly, you should locate the thread holder on the side. After pulling off the bobbin holder and spring underneath it, slide on the bobbin.

THREADING THE portable machine

The thread goes from the bobbin through the first thread guide on the needle arm, through the two plates in the tension control, and through the second thread guide at the end of the needle arm.

SEWING WITH THE portable machine

The machine sews from left to right. Hold the fabric with the left hand, giving it some gentle tension, and turn the machine on, using the power switch on the top. The fabric feeds by itself into the machine.

    • Power switch lock function
    • Adjustable tension for stitching various fabrics
    • Replaceable needle
    • Single replaceable bobbin
    • Rotary wheel for manual stitching
    • Ideal for beginners and novice, Pre-threaded and ready to use, can be used at home even in the office.

    Rene H. - Verified Purchase on 2017

I bought this handheld sewing machine with several projects I had in mind and it surpassed each task in every way.
Its small and that was what I needed and not a bulky machine. Its heavy duty / durable -- unlike the one I owned years ago.
I used it to mend a frayed area on my curtains without having to remove the entire curtain. I set it and used it, done.
I have used it with my scrapbooking and even card stock.

I like the fact that it is small and easy to manipulate, but I still haven't figured how to tie the end when finished sewing. I like the idea of using this for small touch-ups. Hopefully I will learn to finish the tying of the thread.

Works. Took some time and a you tube video to figure out how to thread it, not to mention some reading glasses to SEE where to thread it. Yet, i totally sewed a privacy backing for my bamboo blinds and have been finding other things to sew

The first machine arrived broken and wouldn't power on. The seller sent me a new machine with no hassle. The new machine is very easy to use and works well. The operation is extremely simple, so this is a perfect gadget for hemming pants. I have no sewing experience either.
